Brand Engagement / CALM

‘We chose to work with Soulful Creative for CALM’s biggest project – three ‘live’ bill boards ‘Tom, Dick and Harry’. They organised the coming to life of this campaign and ensured it was both creatively brilliant and organised beautifully. I would highly recommend Soulful to any agency or company – a pleasure to work with.’

CALM Tom, Dick, and Harry Billboards

The Brief /

Partnering with creative agency Beattie McGuinness Bungay (BMB) and the charity CALM and with the support of JCDecaux , we took over three iconic billboards at Old Street junction to highlight male suicide. BMB chose to use graffiti art as a way to raise awareness around the issues because of its notions of self-expression.

Our Solution /

Using our graffiti art skills, we created a powerful message based around the phrase Tom, Dick and Harry to highlight the fact that suicide is the biggest killer of young men in the UK. We designed each name to have its own unique personality in a fun engaging way, that leads your eye to the hard-hitting message above the three billboards.

Two billboards were printed, while the third, Dick was hand-painted live during the course of one day. This project has been listed on Creative Blog’s 40 traffic-stopping examples of billboard advertising, now that’s high praise indeed!
