Workplace / Shipowners Club

‘We set Mark and his team the task of brightening up two very large, very dark walls that ran down the centre of our office. We wanted something vibrant and engaging that was also in keeping with the modern build of the office and corporate nature of our business. Moreover, we wanted something that reflected our organisation and the people within it.

Mark used our brand colour palette to make the graphics immediately recognisable as Shipowners and drew inspiration from various maritime influences as a nod to our business. He also selected words and messages that told the story of our history, our values and our vision for the future – a visual reminder to clients and colleagues alike. We’re so impressed with the result; it’s transformed the space and injected a greater sense of energy and identity into our workspace.’

Shipowners Club

The Brief /

The Shipowners Club are the global market leader in fleet insurance, with 160 years’ experience they insure over 33,00 small and specialist vessels across the globe. They are one of the 13 P&I Clubs that make up the International Group, collectively insuring over 90% of the world’s ocean-going tonnage.

They approached us to help transform two large walls within their London office, that would capture their global coverage, include company key facts, values and mission statement in a fresh and modern way, but also respect the Shipowners brand and professional approach.

Our Solution /

We designed two murals which were very graphical in style, using the brand colour palette and adding layers through the design with the use of hand painted elements, vinyl and cut plywood.

On the main 14m wall, we took inspiration from various maritime influences, such as nautical flags and ocean mapping, wove into the design parts of their long history, along with their global locations and company values. The smaller adjacent wall continued the same look and feel and incorporated the companies mission statement.

The final murals brought some much-needed colour and branding into the modern office environment, adding a vibrant and engaging visual reminder about what Shipowners Club are all about.
